I really wish they would put all that passion into fighting for better living conditions or ending food poverty. I just don't understand why we just can't all be happy? Who cares if you're male, female, transgendered, white, black, purple or green. We are all the same beneath the skin so why can't we just accept if someone is happy? There are seriously far more grave things going on in the world than worrying about someone's sexual preference. You may not accept it but you should respect it. You can still get married in your church of choice with your nose up in the air, while same-sex couples obtain a marriage license to get the same rights that they so deserve. Totally agree with you: being religious and supporting marriage equality are not mutually exclusive ideas.

-Heather
I do what I want.
Heather Lockharthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02362609895956252991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1470970948526381708.post-58354673896634842362015-07-01T04:10:48.853+10:002015-07-01T04:10:48.853+10:00I absolutely 100% agree! And I'm thinking the people who are against it and think it will lead to the destruction of the country will feel a little silly years down the road. (After all, interracial marriage was illegal until not too long ago.) I've read plenty of upsetting comments on this and plenty of, "I'm a Christian Republican and I support this" that make me happy. But anyway, I've refrained from getting in any arguments because as much as I disagree with a lot of the hateful things I've read, they are entitled to their opinions as much as I am to mine!Mattie @ Northwest Nativehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05164010338046849742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1470970948526381708.post-21524192018071728792015-07-01T01:50:28.662+10:002015-07-01T01:50:28.662+10:00Great post, girlie. Love is love & I don't think that anyone should not have the chance to show their love to the world by getting married. So, I was pretty dang happy that America has now recognized that. #LoveWins

Mandie ~ http://badbrewpack.blogspot.com/ Mandiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14849402261110408345noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1470970948526381708.post-14147332009991979182015-07-01T00:57:08.364+10:002015-07-01T00:57:08.364+10:00Great post! I just cannot hear it anymore. Love is a wonderful thing and everybody should be allowed to get married no matter what gender you are and what sexual orientation you have.
