I confess: I used the above gif because ... Chris Hemsworth. Oh, I had another one picked out about books, but ... Chris Hemsworth. #whatcanisay #ilikeprettymen
I confess: After participating, finishing, and thoroughly enjoying the Aussie Author Challenge 2015 this year, I'm already looking at books by Australian authors for next year's challenge. #imayhaveaproblem #gottabeprepared #allaboutthebookspartdeux
I confess: After my guy finished an engagement ring (he's a jeweller), I wore it around all afternoon. No, it's not someone else's ring. It's just for stock. I mean, it will be someone else's ring when it's purchased. But, for one afternoon, it was my plaything. It's not even really what I'd say was my style, but it was so pretttttty. #ohlookitssomethingshiny
I confess: I made beef & cheese enchiladas for dinner on Monday, and I'm going to eat leftovers tonight, and they are probably one-gillion calories, but I don't care because they were so good. #wascravingtexmex #wasfeelinghomesick #texmexisthegreatestfoodontheplanet
I confess: I'm not ready for Christmas. I'm not ready for Christmas music. I'm not ready for Christmas shopping. I'm not ready for Christmas decorations. #bahhumbug #itsnovember
I confess: There was a time when my brother was apparently allowed to carry a knife in a sheath when he was a boy. In honor of my aunt's birthday (she's the pretty one with the fly hair in the middle), I thought I'd share this gem. #theseventies
I confess: This post has no continuity to it whatsoever. I embrace my randomness sometimes. #scatterbrain #muyloco
Linking up with these ladies:
70's pictures are really the best... all the style.
ReplyDeleteI am never ready for Christmas... ever...
That ring. that is gorgeous.
I don't do Christmas music or decor until after Thanksgiving is over. I do prepare for Christmas before that, but I don't do the seasonal things until after. One holiday at a time.
ReplyDeleteI usually only read the book posts on Show Us Your Books day too!
stop it with that throwback pic with your brother and that knife! dying. i'm not ready for christmas either. it doesn't help its like 90 here lately. and that ring? yes i'll take that! haha
ReplyDeletexoxo cheshire kat
That pic is so cute- can't believe your bro was walking around with a knife! I'm with you on not being ready for Christmas. I don't do anything (other than buy presents, which I do randomly throughout the year) until after Thanksgiving. I need to catch up on the Show Us Your Book posts- I didn't get a chance to read them yesterday!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad someone is on the same page with me about it being November and not Christmas time yet!! and oooo very pretty ring that someone is getting, how cool that your guy is a jeweler!
ReplyDeleteAny time Chris Hemsworth is involved is a good time in my book - I love him!
ReplyDeleteThat ring is gorgeous! Maybe I should have have my hubby look your hubby up to make me a new wedding ring. Tee hee!
Right there with you on the holidays - so not ready. I appreciate the opening gif because... Chris Hemsworth. #nuffsaid I also would have played with the ring, I mean, c'mon, shiny pretty things. I would have judged you if you didn't!
ReplyDeleteThat engagement ring is gorgeous! You were just wearing it in ;) It is still in the 80's here most days and doesn't feel like November at all....so I will be whipping out my Christmas decor this weekend so I have more time to enjoy it and make it feel like it is November. The weather does me no favors!
ReplyDeleteTex Mex is sooooooooooooooo delcious! The picture of your brother is FANTASTIC!
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just have to wear the pretty ring! That knife is huge, how in the world did he get away with that one! That last meme is so me this week!
ReplyDeleteI am so hungry and would kill for some enchiladas now! Haha.
ReplyDeleteThat ring is gorgeous! If I win the lotto I am having your hubby design a ring for me! His work is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI am right there with you on the Show Us Your Books being the only posts I read on those Tuesdays! I barely make it through all of those in a timely manner so I won't be reading one that isn't in it!
Randomness is amazing. Embrace it.
Fa La La La La LA LA LA LA !!!!
Yes! I agree! You had me at Chris Hemsworth. No need to say anything else. Happy Humpday ♥
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of Christmas stuff before Thanksgiving. I may buy Christmas things (trees, ornaments, lights, decorations, whatever) before then, but those items remain in the box or bag at least until Thanksgiving. I don't willingly listen to a single Christmas song until Black Friday (which I don't participate in). LOL!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a gorgeous ring. It really isn't my personal style either, but hello, craftsmanship!
ReplyDeleteYesterday was my first day for the Show Me Your Books linkup and I loved it! I feel like I have a million and one more books to add to my TBR list.
ReplyDeleteYes, Tex Mex is the best food on this planet! I also think that I read somewhere that it might not have any calories...
This is the first year that I'm actually ready for Christmas to be here but I'm refusing to decorate, watch movies, or listen to music on principal alone!
That ring is HUGE. Damn, I'd wear it around, too! I love that your brother has a huge knife... hahaha! Finding questionable photos from the past is the best. I also love that ecard about distractions and ice cream. YES PLEASE! Ha.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally bah-humbug'ing too. Not ready for christmas. Also no shame in wearing that ring around, I probably wouldn't have wanted to give that back.
ReplyDeleteI'd say yes to that ring (well, I'd say yes with no ring, but you know awesome bling would help).
ReplyDeleteI always WANT to get excited about Christmas but then my laziness takes over and well.. right now I'm all who the fuck cares about a fucking coffee cup!?
Also, I'm still reading books from the last 2 challenges. I'm not prepared for another. Holy shit.
I confess I no longer read all the linkups on the book linkup. Only those that I regularly follow and reach out to me, thank you dear :). That graphic about Christmas lights and such going up before Thanksgiving, so agree! Too much!
ReplyDeleteOh man I would be alllll about wearing jewelry around, too! lol
ReplyDeleteI love that ring (some girl is going to be very lucky!) and I love me some enchiladas.
ReplyDeleteThis post cracked me up! I'm still way behind on reading posts for Show Us Your Books! (and on blog posts in general), but hopefully I can catch up at some point soon. I'm also way behind on writing anything for next week. I spent the day today finishing a book that's due tomorrow (that I can't renew) and binge watching Pretty Little Liars for the millionth time. If that's not productive, I don't know what is. Haha.
ReplyDeleteThe ring is beautiful! I still love looking at pictures of rings even though I'm clearly not going to get another one. (Nor would I want another one.) Eric always seems a little worried if he sees me looking at them, like, "Do you not like your ring anymore?" Of course I still like mine ... But I can enjoy looking at other sparkly things too! :-)
I'm also in love with enchiladas. I haven't made them in a while, though, because they always take so much time.
And yes to the Christmas stuff! I really want to get at least half of my shopping done this month, but it's been really hard for me to even think about it. I just wanted to enjoy my anniversary trip and then enjoy Thanksgiving before I put a lot of thought into it. Oh, and the picture that goes along with the the Christmas comments made me laugh for about 5 minutes. Haha.
That is one beautiful ring! I am ready for Christmas lights but not all the other Christmassy stuff!
ReplyDeleteYour boy friend has made a good diamond engagement ring.
