Some of these were tough to choose. I'd find a movie that I'd want to see, but I'd have no idea what category it would work for. So, some of these may be a stretch... Updated: I need some help with one of the categories, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I like your picks so far! I wish I had time to jump in this year but it's just impossible. For envy, any Disney movies you haven't seen? Basically every one has envy! For gluttony, have you seen both WIlly Wonka and the remake with Johnny Depp?

the Memoirs of a Geisha book was incredible; I wonder how the movie is?? actually I had no idea they even made it into a movie! let us know how it is.

DeleteOh my. Lawless was super interesting but had one part that is so darn icky. Bleh. Hmm gluttony.. that's a tough one. First thought is Wall-e. Those folks in the chairs, y'all. Second thought... Marie Antoinette (though indulgence is more accurate). Perhaps a movie about an eating disorder? Not fun to watch... There's an indie movie called butter that's supposed to be really good.. but I am not sure if gluttony counts. Waitress, all about pies. No real gluttons in it though. Good luck! XO - Alexandra

Deletei could be persuaded to let gone with the wind count for gluttony... lots of overindulgence with regard to dining and drinking in that one. and scarlett's starving for money and lots of it.

DeleteSo many great choices! Really enjoyed Spotlight, Sully, and The Forces Awakens (but I like all Star Wars so I'm biased on the last one). Thor made my list too! I may have to borrow Way Way Back for charity because it was on my list for some other category from last year's challenge. I'm trying to pick only movies I can easily attain from Netflix/Amazon/library this year. For gluttony, I'm doing La Grande Bouffe (The Grand Feast) because a group of guys "resolve to eat themselves to death." Sounds pretty gluttonous to me! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteGluttony - how about Julie and Julia or whatever that film was about Amy Adams trying to cook her way through Julia Childs cookbook? That was quite good. I haven't seen the vast majority of these so I'll be interested to hear your thoughts!

Deletei hope you like The King's Speech :) i remember liking Cinderella Man when I watched it years ago. I've not seen Sully so you'll have to let me know if it's any good. The Little Mermaid is one of my all time faves (shocker, I know) so I hope you like it!

And I really want to use previously chosen movies, but that means I have to sift through thousands of pictures on the Facebook page. Haha! Maybe Marie Antoinette for gluttony? I loved that movie. I don't know what to chose for that category either.

What about Shallow Hal for gluttony? Or Heavyweights about the kids that go to fat camp? Both are pretty funny.
