Sunday's Seven Snapshots vol.114

It's rained most of the week and the dam near my train station was running strong.  I tried to take a picture through the bars...didn't turn out so well.  ha.

Work selfie for my mom ~ she sent about 3 or 4 texts that I didn't answer.  I responded with this saying "busy".

Remember when I went to the Hunter Valley in December?  I've been reluctant to drink all my good wine, thinking I should save it for a "special occasion".  Nah.  Friday night I decided to open and enjoy a bottle.

My guy suggested that we go to lunch at the Orangeville Meat Co. where they serve flame-grilled burgers, fries, and shakes.  To steal Kathy's term, this is what "fappiness" looks like.

I was so stuffed after lunch, I needed a nap.  Ricky didn't mind.

The weather cleared up in the afternoon, and we took advantage by taking the Destructive Duo for a walk.

This pic...well, it ain't all that exciting.  I agree.  But, it was taken in the midst of me catching him dancing in the grocery store aisle, and I thought that was cute.

How was your week and weekend?  Hope it was a good one!

  1. Any occasion or lack of occasion is a good excuse for wine. ;) I know what you mean though--I have some bottles here that I am saving for when I need to bring a good wine to a party or least that's the idea.
Glad the rain stopped so that you could enjoy being outdoors!

  2. Aww love seeing these snapshots :) and love that your dude dances in grocery aisles! Ama that you opened the bottle! Sometimes you just don't need a special occasion :)

  3. I'm guilty of "saving" things for special occasions, too. I'm trying to get out of that mindset, especially now when I see the special pieces of clothing that I've been saving, that are now listed on eBay because they are way too big for me to wear.

Fappiness... I understand all too well. :) Just keep in mind, all things are well and good in moderation. Enjoy the wine, enjoy the burger and shake. Just do something to balance it all out.

  4. Those milkshakes look amazing!
I'm all about not saving the wine...drink it while you can enjoy it.

  5. LOL fappiness. but it's true, to love is to share your love with food with that person! we ate like kings on saturday night. bring on the fappiness food!

  6. lol that last photo - i love it! you two are the cutest. and those burgers. noms. fappiness cracks me up. and isn't it funny when moms text over and over and you're like yes ma, i'm busy hehe. my mom swears she doesn't need a text back all the time but who doesn't? :)

    xoxo cheshire kat

  7. Oh fappiness. That's my life, for real. Except we have no dogs to walk or hikes to take like you guys do. We did buy harnesses for our cats though. That's an adventure so far. XO - Alexandra

  8. I've decided there's no such thing as a special occasion anymore. It's all a special occasion.

  9. I do that too - where I think I need to save something for a special occasion, but darn it - I'm special! LOL! That burger. Those fries. And shake. I want! Ricky! I love how he wants to sleep on his Mama. I've tried to get Max to nap on top of me but he won't. To be fair, when he really stretches himself out, he is nearly as big as me. :D

  10. It always sucks when the weather is yuck and you can't do much outside, but I'm cleared up for you! And I love your wine glass! I swear that I need one of those because I'm notorious for spilling red wine...

  11. That milkshake in the burger pic looks amazing!! I can't believe how full that dam is! I think dams are seriously amazing. Is that weird? Haha!

  12. Love this little glimpse into your life! My kitty always rests on my chest! haha
Love that your man dances at the grocery store! Mine does the same! We love laughing!
    Have a great day!
    hugs xxx

  13. LOl fappiness food looks delicious. It's burger week here this week so I am sure I will indulge in some similar looking food!! Love the dancing at the store ;)

  14. fappiness! haha. i will have to try that place - those burgers and shakes look aaaaahmazing.
