Sunday's Seven Snapshots vol.112

Buy one - get one free sale - they get me every time!  I needed new sneaks and was happy with this purchase.

I found sweet Ivy Lou napping in the stepkid's bed while he was away.  He loves the fur babies so much that I had to snap this pic for him.

I shared a pic on ig admitting that I buy wine based on how much I like the label.  I should've mentioned how cool the lid was too.  By the way, did you know most Australian wines are screw top?  I didn't until I moved here.

Enjoying the "Take Me to the Grave" Pinot Noir.  The label steered me correctly.  It was tasty.

My sister-in-law had an slumber party for a belated celebration of her birthday, getting a few girlfriends over for wine and laughs.

My mother-in-law sure can grow some pretty roses.  I love the vibrancy of the pink of these ones.

Sunday grub included a pulled pork sandwich plus CRISPY bacon.

I start a new job which means new routine. I hope blog time doesn't suffer too much.

Have a great new week to you!

Sunday's Seven Snapshots vol.108

Organizing, editing, sending, and printing resumes... Astro's way of helping?  Sitting on the resume. I'm pretty sure he just wants me to be a stay-at-home cat mom.

The stepkid started year 4 (4th grade) this week ~ here's hoping he has a great year!

Walking selfie - it didn't happen unless I photo document it, right?  No, actually I took it to prove to one of my friends that I was walking in the heat.  My forehead looks unusually massive in this picture.

Another week of hot temps, so the girls spent some time inside and right after this picture, they got hosed down with water.

It's fun to find random pieces of home like this tile on a while in a clothing store.

Met some friends for lunch on Saturday, and this blood orange margarita was phenomenal.

It was super hot on Sunday, and neither of us felt like cooking, so this was dinner ~ avocado, cherry tomatoes, and feta on toast.

Have a great week!

Sunday's Seven Snapshots vol.103

Monday morning vibes...we stayed at a hotel next to our shop last Sunday night because we had to be there at 5:30am Monday morning (and our commute from home is about an hour and a half.)  This was my view Monday morning.

Monday was also my 2nd wedding anniversary. This is the card and gift I gave my husband. I'm such a romantic.

A customer emailed and asked what pearl strand necklaces we had left in stock. I know this customer well, so I sent this photo back as the reply.  What? Didn't I tell you that "jewellery model" is my future career?

Got these babies in the mail this week. C'mon February!

The end is here. Post to come in the future sharing my thoughts on closing our business.  I have a lot of thoughts to share. I just need to be able to sit, reflect, and write.

Some customer gifts wishing us well...beyond appreciative.

Sunday...all day...has been cleaning, packing, and moving shop. One of those bottles pictured above may need to be cracked open tonight.

Next week is Christmas!  Eeeeek!

Sunday's Seven Snapshots vol.102

'Tis the season that I send several overseas packages.

This is one of the libraries I frequent. Ain't too shabby.

Christmas drinks with my fellow Texas A&M grads at Blu Bar (level 36 of the Shangri La hotel.)

These were our views....

...Sydney was really showing off her beauty this week.

Christmas drinks turned into Christmas shenanigans.

Worked 6 days this week with long hours, but I still managed to get some presents wrapped too.

Sunday's Seven Snapshots vol.101

This red velvet donut with buttercream icing and candy cane decorations was as sensational as it looks.

I might've got carried away with tree decorations this year...my back patio trees even have lights.

I love the jacaranda tree in front of my house. I don't love sweeping up after the jacaranda tree.

I had a realization that yes, I am old, when I walked through H&M and decided everything was crap.

A book & my snuggly boys ... Not a lot of things that are better than this.

Street art in Newtown

Sunday brunch with a girlfriend was a great way to end the week.

 Happy weekend to you!

Sunday's Seven Snapshots vol.100

This happens often...I start out the day with cute shoes, but I end up in flip flops soon enough.

Friday beer day to watch football and celebrate Thanksgiving...

...which turned into 11 hours of drinking and this picture I don't remember taking. I'm too old for that nonsense. Ha!

Saturday night included dinner at my fave - I was so preoccupied with the good food that I took no pictures except this one when I was leaving.

After chasing Ricky out of the tree...

...and chasing him away from the ornaments...

...I got our tree up!

Hope you had a fab holiday weekend!  Are you getting ready for Christmas?

Sunday's Seven Snapshots vol.99

Monday, I took my required documents and headed to the RTA (American equivalent = DMV) to get my driver's license. I dreaded this task thinking it was going to be tedious and take eons to wait.

To my surprise, the RTA was efficient and painless. I now have my New South Wales license!

Things you do when you're a jeweller's wife: crawl around on your hands and knees in a workshop searching for gemstones that your husband flicks, misplaces, and can't locate. Luckily, I found this little sapphire beauty.

Saturday night, we went to celebrate a friend's birthday. I enjoyed myself an adult cocktail. Or 8.

My guy

Can you tell who were the drinkers and who were the designated drivers?

Sunday involved cats, a book, a nap, a Skype session with one set of the parentals, and a movie.

Sunday's Seven Snapshots vol.98

View from my bedroom window one morning this week

The greatest greeting card of all time

My gelato is ready for Christmas

So is my popsicle

This kid like ribs...

...and these girls enjoyed his leftovers. It was Sally & Dolly's 3rd birthday this week. Love my destructive duo!

Even with Astro's assistance, I lost at Monopoly again. That pile of money you see?  That's the stepkid's.

I welcome the new week. I hope you do too!
