Currently

I haven't posted one of these in a while, and Kimmi's post reminded me of that ...

Reading...The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay...after reading blog post and review after blog post and review recommending this book, I'm finally reading it.

Listening...right this very second as I type this, Black Balloon by The Goo Goo Dolls.

Thinking...I should call my loved ones more.  A phone call really does not take that much time and effort.  I spoke to my cousin today for 45 minutes, and I loved every second of it.

Wishing...that I was a lottery winner, but really, when am I not wishing this?

Planning....a Mexican feast with some friends this weekend at Dos SeƱoritas, a restaurant that claims to be "The Only Authentic Mexican Food in Sydney".

Wearing...a grey dress with silver sandals; not my most exciting ensemble.

Loving...this note from my stepson (he turns 8 this week); I'm pretty sure it is one of the sweetest gifts I've ever received.  Yep.  I'm blowing up all my social media with it.  He told me that he wrote it in "American" so I would understand (mom vs. mum) and that made me giggle through tears.

Feeling...hungry; it's getting close to lunch time, and I'm a girl who likes to eat.

Wanting...a week long (at least) holiday with my guy.

Watching...this should really be titled what I'm not watching...I'm in a fall film challenge with 25 movies to watch; I've watched six; others are finished.

What are you currently doing?

  8. I wish I were more of a phone person, email and text is so impersonal but I am horrible at phone conversations.

Kid notes are the best! I have the first I love you note my daughter wrote me which is all in pictures.

  9. I need to make more of an effort to keep in touch with people. I kind of suck at that.

As for the film challenge, I wish it wasn't "the first three to finish." I wish it was that everyone who finishes gets entered for a prize or something. We'll see what happens next time.

  10. That book is so good, hope you are liking it. Yes, to food especially Mexican. What I wouldn't give for a week off to just rest and read!

  13. That note still makes me smile. I love it. Those are the kind of notes that you keep to remind you of how sweet they actually can be when they are being bad. Ha, ha!

  14. I forgot all about that Goo Goo Dolls song! The Sea of Tranquility has been on my list FOREVER. I need to bump it up a little bit. That note truly is the sweetest thing!

  15. I'm hungry right now, and that photo of the Mexican feast definitely didn't help. Luckily, I'm making burrito bowls for dinner, so at least I'll get to feed my craving for Mexican flavors!

I saw that you rated The Sea of Tranquility 5 stars on Goodreads (yes, I'm a stalker), and that made me so happy! I love that you loved it too!

I know I commented on the letter from your stepson on Instagram already, but it really is adorable and so heartwarming!

And finally, the fall film challenge. I've only watched 5, if that makes you feel any better. I doubt I'll finish, but the crazy competitive side of me really wants to. I guess we'll see.
