Friday - yay!  Weekend plans with friends - double yay!  Here's some of my favorites from this week:

 four.  Favorite treat discovered this week:  Pana Chocolate Sour Cherry & Vanilla 60% Cocao - I used to not like dark chocolate, but as I'm trying to eat healthier, I tried this.  Whenever I am craving a treat, this is going to be it. 

 five.  Favorite weekly activity focusing on positivity:

1. Movie night with my guys: Yes, I'm in the fall film challenge.  No, neither of the movies we watched (Epic & Puss in Boots) count towards that list.  But, my guy, my stepson, our kitties, and I had a cozy evening watching this double header.
2. My Skype session with Dad, Helen, and Taylor
3. Books - picked up 2 library books, put more on reserve list, bought 3 that the library doesn't have.  I may need an intervention.
4. Ricky purrs - My tuxedo cat is our most mischevous of the three, but when he decides he's ready to cuddle, he gets all up in my face, wraps his little paws around my neck, and purrs like a freight train.
   
5. Buying my niece her birthday gift
6. Quick chats on facebook messenger or emails with my favorite friend
7. Customers who show their appreciation by buying me a nice bottle of Shiraz
   
8. Pink lady apples - because they are juicy, sweet, delicious, and they are called.......... Pink Ladies!
9. Jana & I created a playlist - in case you missed it yesterday, check it out - we had so much fun collaborating on this, we already have another one planned.
10. Realizing that the Texas A&M/Arkansas football game will be airing live in Australia - I will be even happier if my boys win!

Friday Favorites Five vol.11

Alright, alright, alright...... it's Friday.  Yes!

1. Calling all book lovers - this story and video should certainly bring a smile to your face: Nowra librarians promote joy of books on youtube

2. This is the greatest water bottle I've ever owned.  Seriously.  I buy a 2liter everyday of sparkling water (I prefer it to still water), keep it in the refrigerator, and refill this all day long.  This single product has helped me drink more water and kick other sugary drinks to the curb. (I'm not getting paid to say this; it's my unbiased opinion.)

3.  Alright.  This video has made the rounds for a couple of months, but I had a friend share it again on facebook.  I had to re-watch it at least three times in a row because it is that good.  If you need to laugh, or you need to smile, or you need a little sassy in your life, watch this.  Even if you've seen it before, it's worth it to watch it again.

5.  I'm stealing Megan's idea and adding this to my Friday Favorites because it is quickly becoming a favorite activity (focusing on things that make me happy).

• My fur baby, Astro's 2nd birthday
• My guy told a customer of ours that I like leopard print; she bought me a scarf just to be nice & thoughtful.
• My niece, Jenna, was named Junior Homecoming Duchess for her high school.
• Two of the loveliest people I know in Australia welcomed their first child, a beautiful boy named Louis.

• Using Qantas points so I could get a new ipod shuffle for free!

Hiya!  It's Friday.  I got my hair done, and it's all nice and fresh and silky feeling.  That's a good enough reason to be happy this Friday.

Favorite encounter with a customer this week:  I showed a few pairs of diamond stud earrings to a woman on Tuesday.  She told me that she'd be in a relationship for 13 years but had never purchased her partner jewellery.  She said she'd be back Thursday.  In retail, when someone says they'll come back...well...that doesn't always happen.  But, she showed, and she purchased some diamond studs.  She was so grateful for my help, the fact that I wasn't judgmental that she was purchasing a special gift for her lesbian partner, that not only was I not judgmental, but I was supportive (her words as she thanked me), that she gave me a big ol' hug.  Her sincere gratitude warmed my heart.

Favorite Friday flashback of the week - because when two great performers like David Bowie and Mick Jagger collaborate, of course they are going to give us a timeless song that is still just as fun to dance to as it was decades ago (yes, I know it is a cover).  Plus, this video, oh this video, it is so fantastic...fashion choices and the dancing antics of these two is guaranteed to make you giggle.

After having a holiday on Monday (no work!) this week, this Friday snuck up on me.  I ain't complainin'.

 Favorite "thinking of you" post from a friend:  One of my bestest girlfriends from Texas posted this picture on my facebook.  She knows that bluebonnet season is my favorite time of year back home.

   

Favorite Friday flashback song:  Near the end of the video, there's an awesome choreography with Billy and his Uptown Girl...yea, I may have just caught myself doing the same dance to this song on the radio.  

Favorite picture of proof that my hairstylist is a bigger bad ass than yours: Sara got her pro-card and won the overall fitness model division, and she will represent Australia at a competition in South Africa.  Believe me.  I will never complain about my hair - because she can hurt me with one punch and because she does such a fabulous job!

No work on Friday - woo hoo!  That's a Friday Favorite all on its own.  But, let's take a look at other favorites of mine from this week.

4.  Favorite blog post about a fur baby:  Have You Met Our Cat Eddie?  It's a link-up hosted by food, booze, and baggage.  I just saw it yesterday, and I don't think I can organize myself enough to write posts about all five of my fur babies in time to participate.  But, that got me thinking...if I hosted a link-up called "Meet the Felines" and another called "Meet the Canines" would you participate?  I'd love to do it, and I'd love to meet your furry family members.  (I'd credit Mariah for the idea.)  Let me know, and I'll organize for it to happen in the next couple of weeks.  (Please, say YES!)

Oh, and if some of you have another family pet that isn't a canine or feline, but you'd like to participate, I can come up with another cute name too.
