#HashTag Confessions: 2nd of the 2nd month

It's the day to confess?  Well, let's start with this baby........

A couple of weeks ago, Kerri shared this post about this super cool phone cover made using her own artwork that she got from CaseApp.  Well...guess what folks...I confess: I'm that person.  That person that made a customized phone cover with pictures of her fur babies.  And paid $50 for it (even with Kerri's discount available).  #noshame #noregrets #youknowyouwantonetoo

Shall we continue confessions about being a crazy pet owner?  Okay.  Let's do it.  I sent a picture and links to my mother of some shoes (sorta a *big* hint as a "what I need for Christmas" present).  I didn't get them in my Christmas care package.  I was super mad sad.  #imspoilediwantedmyshoes

Then......

The most magnificent shoes arrived for me this week.  It is official.  I have the coolest crazy cat lady shoes to ever exist.  I confess: they may be so ugly that they are wonderful and I love them oh-so-much.

I confess:  I didn't think Lady Gaga's National Anthem performance at the Super Bowl was "all that".  It was alright.  She started out beautifully, but the finger-pointing, runs, and theatrics got to be a bit out of control for my liking.  That may just be her putting her Gaga flair on it, but I just didn't think she was as fantastic as people were making it out to be.  But, she still sings a whole lot better than I do, so who am I to judge?  #unpopularopinion

I meant to go to a Super Bowl party in the city hosted by the Sydney Americans, but I confess:  I'm in a "I hate all the people" mood, and I didn't feel like going.  Staying at home, on my couch, with my cats was just fine by me.  #superbowlpartyforone

I confess:  I ordered a large pizza and ate it.  That was my Super Bowl contribution to gluttony.  #ishallnottellalie #itwasyummy
oldie but goodie

My assessment of the SuperBowl halftime:  Coldplay was a lame choice.  #sorrynotsorry  And, I think it's double lame to have performers that were a part of halftime just a few years ago (Bruno Mars performed in 2014; BeyoncĂ© in 2013).  Is the world of music entertainment that shallow that there aren't enough choices to mix it up a little more than that??  #myopinion #hateitifyouwantto

I confess:  If you don't care about pro sports, collegiate sports, or any sports, then you aren't going to care about this:  I was happy for a Broncos win.  Peyton Manning is a stand-up guy.  I enjoy performances by dominating defenses.  And, the wining head coach and MVP are both Texas A&M University (my university) alum.

  1. So I feel like the national anthem should just be sung straight out the way it is meant to be, it is not your song Lady Gaga it is all of ours so just do it nice and be done. So yeah that is probably unpopular opinion too but o well!

  3. My husband would agree about the Lady Gaga opinion. He was irritated that everyone was so "blown away" by it. That phone case is AWESOME. I need $50 to spend on that! Haha!

  4. I missed Lady Gaga's performance but one of my friends didn't like it either. I'm a traditionalist, it should be sung the way it is meant to be. I also have been told you aren't suppose to glad or cheer at the end of it but everyone does. Not sure if that is actually true or not.

  5. I thought Gaga was okay but not Whitney Houston in her prime caliber. The anthem does not require theatrics. It is theatrical on its own.

Down with eating the whole pizza.

  6. I totally agree on the half time show. Like you seriously couldn't have picked someone who hasn't performed there yet? And wasn't it supposed to be a tribute to the shows of the past? Why not bring back a legend to perform? Those shoes. I. Can't. Even. AMAZING!

  7. I didnt get the whole bringing back the past 2 performers either for the Super Bowl - but I also didnt get why Coldplay was chosen - they have like what? 2 good famous songs?

    Those VANS!! those are fantastic!

  8. Confession: I hosted a Superbowl party just so I could make (and eat) more food. I was rooting for the Broncos too, because they seemed to be the underdogs. I wanted more from the halftime show though, like I was waiting for a surprise guest that never showed. I did like the "Believe in Love" message and the video montage of old performances.

  9. The halftime show sucked. Big time. And the whole tribute to past performances was a huge disappointment. Could have been so much better.

I thought Gaga did a fabulous job but her whole image/persona revamp bugs the shit out of me. It's like she's trying to be something she's not or maybe before was an act and now it's all very confusing. My daughter was amused that Gaga's makeup looked like her cheer makeup so there was that.

  10. Whoop for Von Miller and Gary Kubiack! I seriously think everybody from A&M would have thrown a fit if Von didn't win because he almost single handedly won that game for them. And those shoes are so awesome! They have some that are covered in Disney princesses, and I kind of really want them!

  11. I thought Lady Gaga's performance was the best thing about the super bowl lol. But the finger pointing was a bit much, I do agree with you there. That purple rain would have only been appropriate if Prince showed up lol. I mean WTF? Love your cat lady shoes!

  12. I thought Lady Gaga's hand gestures were way out of line for National Anthem Singing, I did like her funky flag shoes though.

I want a phone case unfortunately I just spent an unreasonable amount of money to fix my car so no puppy phone cases.

  13. I love your cat CaseApp! I don't really get why they brought back performers who did the Super Bowl recently.

  14. Those Vans are to die for , I love 'em. Moms for the win!
Your case is pretty damn awesome, too. Jeff surprised me last year with a custom case for my iPhone 4, before I got the 6. Now our buddy, Alex, has it on his phone and he's proudly walking around with Charlie and Baxter on his phone (the dogs just adore him!).

Happy Humpday and your Thursday lovey! Xo

  18. Love those shoes! I have to agree about Gaga. She was fine. She can definitely sing, but she's trying to hard, I think, and I wasn't that impressed.

  19. I was sad that the Panthers lost, but only because we've sucked so bad for so long and we made it to the super bowl! I was raving about the Lady Gaga National Anthem but only because she didn't embellish it like every.fucking.body else that has done it recently. I'll take her crazy hand gestures over fucking up the song. I also agree with your halftime assessment, shittay.

  20. Did not watch the Super Bowl. Normally I would have but we were gaming instead!

I did see the National Anthem and yet again it is overdone IMO. Just sing it please. Normal.

I still stand on the belief that the halftime show should be a college band that competed/were awarded the honor. That would be a awesome!
